My No-Politics Resolution

I got up this morning and didn’t turn on the television, or read the newspapers. Wow, only 38 days to go. (I don’t know if I can make it, and a diet would be easier.) I mean, I could go 40 days without BBQ, or even steak, but this…this is a tough one, especially with all the talking and proposing the Democratic Party is doing.

Essentially, they are going to put an end to the economic juncture, and lead in government health care by taxing 2% of the population, and they are those who annually earn more than $250 grand. They are taking away tax deductions such as mortgage interests and charitable giving.

This proposal is going to have the Mel Brooks’ History of the World Part I effect, Where Mel Brooks was asked about the poor, and he mordaciously answered, “The Poor? Screw the poor!”

Charities, which do good work on the contributions of those with money (yes, those who make over 250K/year again) will grind to shrieking halt under this absurd proposal. This has been part of the Obamessiah plan from the beginning. As the saying goes that charity begins at home, and that’s what we were always taught by the way. But under this proposal, charity will become the government’s work. (And it will follow with all kinds of strings attached, which is not the case now).

And government health cares? That promised to be a disaster in the Clinton Administration, and it promises to be an even bigger disaster now. Just wait until you have to sit in a government run waiting room, with people who can never be fired for being incompetent. (or anything else)

The Republicans should make their move now and fight even if the next election is two years away, or they’ll be sorry. The issues are much more evident now that the Democratic Party and Obama are laying them out.

They are a team that can’t hit straight, as Democrat Jimmy Breslin sort of said.

Now can I handle forty days? I’m not sure, but we’ll see. I’m going to give it an old school try.
