These types of medical insurance are very flexible and convenient but at the same time the most expensive of the lot.
The second type of health insurance is the HMO or health management organization. These organizations have a central health care facility which is either owned by them or associated to their organization. All you have to do is show up at the health care facility and show your card at the front desk. Every treatment that you receive after this is directly debited from the insurance company. And the good thing about this type of service is that the organization makes sure that you do not fall seriously ill by conducting frequent tests and check ups on your body. This way there is no chance of complications arising out of minor illnesses, as they are nipped at the bud.
The third type of health insurance is managed care. Here, you will be asked to choose a primary health care specialist who will become your permanent point of contact. You are not allowed to go to any other health facility without the prior permission or referral from your point of contact. This way your flexibility is curtailed. But at the same time, it is the cheapest of the lot and is a good option for people who cannot afford anything better.
